    What, if no internet in thegate?

    The gate cleck confirm facility gate moves in- and out on the smartphone(s) in realtime, as the vehicles are picked up or delivered. The tally recordings are kept on the smartphone, sync'ed to the cloud app server whenever 3G or wifi is again available, f.ex. when back in the office using office-WiFi, maintaining the real-time captured gate-move timestamps and GPS location.

    Is the Ro-Ro Gate Tally app just a smartphone app?

    The app is a distributed app deployed on Android smartphones sync'ing tally recordings with the cloud Ro-Ro Gate Tally server.

    All tallying from smartphone(s) managing current and other port calls, are automatically sync'ed to the cloud giving office progress visibility, and capability to create tally reports.

    Can the tally records be adjusted in the cloud?


    Tally recordings from the facility smartphones cannot be tampered with after the cloud sync, and the cloud tally records represent what was recorded during operations.

    Which Android smartphone can be used?

    Any mobile or phablet, which can be stored safely in the logging officer's pockets, with the following minimum specs:

    • Operation System: Android 5.1
    • Screen resolution: 480x800, 4"
    • Memory: 1Gb RAM
    • GPS sensor: required
    • Camera: recommended, with autofocus

    Pay attention to display brightness - it should be suitable for work under strong sunlight. You may also consider external power bank to support 24/7 continuous work. Note that Google Play search may not find the app, if searching smartphone doesn't meet minimum requirements. See examples of inexpensive compatible Android devices.

    How does the smartphone connect to the cloud server?

    Sync via SIM data plan, or via onboard or port wifi/ wlan or hotspot.
